6th Annual Mat's Ride
THE JOURNEY TO END DEPRESSION

The 6th Annual Mat's Ride raised over $3500 for CMHA youth education programs

CMHA's Community Education program once again thanks Diana and Lan Gilbert and the Mathew Gilbert Society for their hard work and dedication in organizing Mat's Ride on June 19, 2010. This year, a total of over $19,000 was raised. This year, Ride proceedsare being donated to CMHA's youth education programs as well as to a scholarship for a SAIT student throught the Mathew Gilbert Society.
CMHA's youth education programs have reached tens of thousands of Calgary students, teaching them how to identify depression in themselves and others and how to get help when they need it.

Next year's ride, the 7th Annual, will be held June 18, 2011. See www.matsride.org for information.

The 5th Annual Mat's Ride raised over $19,000 for CMHA youth education programs.

On June 20, 2009, motorcyclists hit the highway between Calgary and Rafter 6 Ranch to raise awareness about youth depression. The money raised by the riders will help CMHA continue to deliver youth programs to students in junior high and high schools. The programs teach students about managing stress, depression, and battling the stigma that is often associated with mental illness.

This year's Ride will take place June 20, 2009 - mark your calendar and plan to ride, sponsor, or donate! For more information, visit www.matsride.org.
