Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) - Calgary Region empowers people with mental health issues to thrive in our community. We do this by building understanding and acceptance of mental illness, providing much-needed support services – in the home, workplace and community, and by advancing mental health and wellness as a leading non-profit organization.

Survivors of Suicide Day was November 19, 2011

Survivors of Suicide Day took place November 19, 2011at the Calgary Zoo Safari Lodge. SOS Day is a memorable opportunity for family, friends, and others left behind by suicide to gain and give support to others who have been through a similar loss. Thank you to all those who came out to this year's event.

Family Support Groups

An educational, interactive and supportive group for family and friends of adults living with a mental disorder. Learn about the different types of mental disorders, communication skills, boundaries and much more.

Art of Friendship

This is an interactive learning workshop that helps build self- awareness and interpersonal skills.

Participants meet once a week to learn about topics such as human behaviour, responsibility & commitment, values, boundaries & trust, and dealing with conflict.

8 week Suicide Bereavement Group

These group sessions take place throughout the year at the Kahanoff Centre, 6 - 8:30 PM.
